Hey guys! Only now, I’ve managed to write up a blog post about our one day climbing trip to Rovinj.
Rovinj is such a beautiful medieval city pretty close to where I live (you get there in one hour). What I did not know is that there is a climbing spot just nearby. It is called Zlatni Rt. It is literally on the beach about 20 meters from the sea.
The place used to be a quarry which makes for the unusual rock formations. It’s really fun to climb as it has quite a lot of routes (around 100 ) that are around 15 meters long. There are mostly 5a-5c (50 routes), some 4a-4c+ (22) and 6a-6c (26) and a few 6c-7a (9).
When we went there, on a sunny Saturday afternoon, there was no crowd at all. And the best part is that you can dip into the sea when you are done with climbing. Plus, you get to explore the city of Rovinj which is literally across the bay.
The view from the top.

Have a nice active weekend,
Sara

Nice! I’d take 15m routes in the nature over 25m ones indoors any time 🙂
