WINTER TIME IN LJUBLJANA

Yes, winter has arrived to the capital with its frosty mornings, foggy days and shortened daylight. However, there is something missing  this year: snow. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for others), no snow flakes have fallen this December, and the forecast does not look promising. I am fully aware that many people dislike snowy days since it causes traffic chaos and other woes, but, let’s be honest, nothing beats the beauty of freshly fallen snow and the stillness it brings to an otherwise hectic urban life. It creates a magical atmosphere especially in combination with lovely Christmas city lights.
Nevertheless, Ljubljana still looks gorgeous in those rare wintry days when the sun decides to show for a bit. Here are a few snaps taken with my phone during a pleasant afternoon walk.
